Oprah Winfrey became the subject of the news today when she revealed to a shocked audience that she has a secret sister. Oprah claimed that her sister, Patricia, was put up for adoption at birth. They are half sisters from the same mother and Oprah claim that her mother never revealed the other sister to her until recently.

Patricia was put up for adoption shortly after she was born in 1963. For the first after so many years, Oprah, Patricia and their mother will be reunited on the show. Before the show aired on Monday, Oprah released a promotional video ‘in which she said that, “I was given some news that literally shook me to my core. This time, I’m the one being reunited,” she said. “I was keeping a family secret for months, and on Monday you’re going to hear it straight from me.”
Oprah has made several revelations about her very difficult life. Over the years she has shared how she was abused when she was growing up and the difficulties that she faced growing up in the slums. Oprah’s blockbuster show, the Oprah Winfrey Show is in its 25th and final season. After this season, Oprah will concentrate on her OWN network that was launched at the beginning of the year.
